Can you read it?

Only great minds can read this…

Azanmig huh? yaeh and I awlyas tghuhot slpeling was ipmorantt! if you can raed tihs forwrad it.

In case you haven't already guessed; I read this in approximately the same time it would have taken me to read it had it been written in English-as-we-know-it! Whether this makes me one of the few great minds around or whether it makes me dyslexic; I'm not entirely sure.

Anyway, I am choked with a cold at the moment and having spent the whole day; from 9am onwards until 4.40pm without the luxury of electricity I am not really in the humour for blogging. I did however come across the above post courtesy of one of several delayed e-mails that I picked up after power was restored. Seeing as the entry tickled my fancy, plus the fact that it tells me to pass it on; that is exactly what I have done.

The whole day has not been lost, despite the lack of heat due to the lack of ESB; it gave me an opportunity to sort through a couple of my famous charity bags. I often make reference to them in conversation but more often than not I forget to leave them out for the appropriate charity collectors on the day they are due. As a consequence of this behaviour my home is frequently littered with any number of multicoloured plastic sacs filled to the brim with all manner of cast offs. I am a great believer in passing it on, whether it be clothing, furniture, baby equipment, etc.

At the moment I have yet to deliver my lilac coloured eighties ladies raleigh racing bike to a gentleman in Mullingar; complete with baby seat. I suspect that by the time I get around to doing the job, the child will be carting his own kids around the block! I also have a multicoloured MacLaren buggy, with elephants printed on the seat, which I intend to offer to a lady from Westmeath Freecycle who posted a wanted add for just such an item. Maybe I will take care of both of these jobs at the one time, preferably before Christmas...

If my new friend and mentor Fly Lady could see me now she surely would be proud of my good intentions; however I am not so sure that she would approve of the fact that I am much better at collecting items than I am of disposing of them. To that end I unpacked a bright yellow plastic sac, given to me yesterday evening by a well meaning and generous friend.

This time it is boys clothing; however for once, they can go straight into circulation as they are nearly all meant for a 13 year old boy. The only exception to this is the brightly coloured dressing gown which fits LB to a T! Better yet, most, but not all of the items are in exceptional condition and have already found their way into the wardrobes awaiting their arrival! Ah yes, Fly Lady would definately be proud of me...(?)

I'm going to leave this post right there, as it is so much more enjoyable to cook when one can see what one is doing! Now that we have power I'm going to make the most of it and finish off making dinner for myself and the two lads, DG'll have to catch up with us later...

Bye for now,
