I've just discovered an invaluable resource for couples tying the knot; The Veritas website. Up until today, I had always considered Veritas as a publisher of some very trite Christian volumes and little else. How wrong can a person be?

I arrived on their homepage because an on-line pal of mine; Blaithin O'Reilly has just published her book; Distinctive Weddings - Tying the Knot without the Rope Burns!

I can't wait to get my hands this book but; I'm going to have to wait. What I did find however; was an impressive array of wedding paraphernalia ranging from beautiful pillar candles to books of readings etc; it is certainly worth looking...

Unfortunately for me Distinctive Weddings - Tying the Knot without the Rope Burns! is being released on Saturday through Veritas book shops.

Blaithin herself will be signing at the RDS at the Wedding & Honeymoon show on Saturday. Otherwise it will not be available until Monday in most other shops - darn it!

Anyway, Saturday sees lil ole me appearing as an exhibitor at the first inaugural Midlands Bridal & Debs Exhibition; which promises to be "The Wedding Event of The Year." This unique expo combines top exhibitors from the Midlands region in the bridal and debs field. Running from Saturday 27th to Sunday 28th September next; from 12pm to 6pm on both days this exciting event promises the ultimate day out.

The organiser of the event Ms Yvonne Delaney of Lynzdel Bridal Fashions has long experience in the area of helping brides achieve their fairy tale wedding; so who better than Yvonne to put together such an event. Not only will couples be treated to a superb selection of the finest local wedding suppliers; the expo is being held at one of the most prestigious venues in the Midlands. Charleville Castle is a magical venue; with its Gothic architecture the perfect compliment to a Bridal Fair!

Not only is this a day for engaged couples it is also destined to be a great family day out; with catwalk fashion shows taking place all day inside the castle; catering and entertainment being available in the sumptuous grounds.

Showcasing top exhibitors from all over the Midlands region including Hotels & reception venues, Bridal Designer, Bridal Wear, Dress Suit Hire, Mother of the Bride Fashions, Beauty and Makeup, Hairdresser, Jeweller, Florist, Stationary, etc; the list is endless. For a cover charge of €15.00 per person I'm sure that The Midland Bridal & Debs Exhibition will provide excellent value and a fun day out for all the family!

A raffle with some lovely prizes will be drawn with the proceeds being donated to the local oncology department. This new bridal expo is destined to be a great success and will be run on an annual basis. With any luck Vinca Cards will become a regular participant!
